The Most Important Job in Tough Times
In a recession it seems that everyone’s thoughts are on the national economy, Washington’s response to the economy, and generally watching the news of the situation. But the most important job in a recession does not happen in Washington. It happens in your own home. The Home Economist is the most important job in tough economic times. Families need to devote significant time to budgeting, meal planning, and seeking out deals. In this modern age the Internet provides us with fabulous tools to budget, monitor our spending, plan cheap meals, shop for deals, and a whole host of information not available to any other generation. While Home Economics might have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years this is the skill that can save your family and perhaps save a nation.
