Turn Off the TV and Get Out of the House in a Recession

Published by moneyman at 5:00 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

If you are unemployed, one of the worst things that you can do in a recession is sit at home and watch TV. It is either mindless entertainment or depressing financial news. Neither is good for you at this time. You need to get out of the house among people. People that may need to hire someone, people who may know who is hiring, and you just might learn something or think of something new while outside. Getting out into the fresh air and engaging your brain might just get your mind in gear to think of a new way of looking for a job, a new place to look for a job, or better yet a business that you can start for yourself. The library is a great place to stimulate your mind without spending much money. There are newspapers to browse, magazines to look through, and books to read.

Whatever you do, don’t sit at home and wait for something to happen. Things happen outside of the house and that is where you need to be.
